We are a contractor from Plungė. Not a holding, not a broker: the plant, the operators and the site managers are ours, and the person accountable for the job is one whose name you know.

Who we are

UAB Plungės Jonis (formerly UAB Plungės Jonis-S) is a civil contractor in Žemaitija, western Lithuania, working on transport infrastructure and engineering structures. The core activity is road and motorway construction (NACE 42.11), alongside railway track, land-reclamation, utility network and hydraulic structure works.

The office and the yard are at Salantų g. 10A in Plungė. All of our plant leaves from here and returns every evening — so we take on work at the distance we can genuinely service with our own crews, not at the distance a map would allow.

What makes us different

  • Our own plant. Excavators, wheeled and mini loaders, tippers — so the start date depends on us, not on the hire market.
  • A tight geographic radius. Žemaitija and the Klaipėda region. The closer to the yard, the cheaper and faster the job is for the client.
  • Rail and road under one roof. Inside a terminal or a factory, the siding, the yard and the storm drainage are usually one job.
  • Procurement discipline. Every work is documented so that it survives an audit five years later.

Where we work

Regular sites are in the Plungė, Rietavas, Mažeikiai, Telšiai, Klaipėda and Šilutė districts. In the port and industrial areas of Klaipėda we work on railway tracks and hardstandings.

We travel further from the yard when a job is large enough for a crew to stay on site for the season.
